Allen Carter, otherwise referred to as AawwNutz, has been officially signed by none other than Ultimate Bet. This move came shortly after Carter's one million dollar win at the WPT Southern Poker Championship hosted at Biloxi's Beau Rivage Resort/Casino in Mississippi. Of course, this latest win for Carter certainly was not his first; this super poker player won some 45 thousand from Ultimate Bet back in June 2008 after entering their tournament offering. Also winning big at Full Tilt Poker, Carter took home 15,000 from his entry in the $50,000.00 Guaranteed Full Tilt Poker game after winning third place.
The position that Allen Carter will officially have at Ultimate Bet has not been revealed at this present time. Allen Carter will be joining ranks with some of the top pro card players in the business today including folks like Dave Stann, Tiffany Michelle, and Tracy Scala, James Campbell, as well as Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke. Phil Hellmouth has won the World Series of Poker Tournament a total of eleven times since 1989, and Annie Duke has made a name for herself having managed to rake in over three million in tournament play winnings, as well as winning a WSOP bracelet.
In an interview after his first Ultimate Bet win, Carter revealed that he enjoyed playing poker on a part time basis. Presently living in Dallas, Carter uses the name AawwNutz as his log on name in the Ultimate Bet games. Ultimate Bet has merged with Absolute Poker to create the CEREUS Poker Network.
Of course, Allen Carter is not the only big winning card player making a name for himself at Ultimate Bet. Many big winners play poker at Ultimate Bet and bring in even more money while gaining more recognition for themselves. One of the most recent Ultimate Bet events was the Ultimate Bet Online Championship offered annually. The latter game involves a buy-in which costs $1,000 per player and was won by Hafiz Khan who took home close to $250,000.
Khan also managed to win some money at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, gaining twenty first place and a cool 55 grand. A year prior, Khan won more than one million dollars at a European Poker Tour Event as well. Finally, Khan took home a sizeable check of $110,000, after finishing in a number of preliminary games at the Bellagio while playing in the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic.
