Full Tilt responded to the allegations thrown at them by two of their players by throwing the accusation right back at the players.
With two sides to every story, especially when it comes to a big accusation like using bots, time and a lot of investigations can only tell which of the two sides is telling the truth.
The Players Versus the Online Casino
Full Tilt confiscated $80,000 from two of their players, Larry Kennedy and Greg Omotoy, on the grounds that, after intensive investigations done on the online casino's part, the two violated the terms and conditions of Full Tilt by creating multiple accounts and using bots to gain advantage over the other players and the house itself.
The players, claiming that they are innocent, filed a lawsuit against Full Tilt and its shareholders. They claim that it is the online poker room that uses bots, and these bots are the ones who are playing against honest players like themselves as well as controlling the hand results, thereby increasing the site's profits.
Full Tilt's Denial
Of course, Full Tilt completely denies the allegations thrown at them. This week, Full Tilt finally told their reasons why they confiscated the players' money.
The termination of the accounts of the two players is in accordance with the online poker room's terms and conditions. The two were found to be using multiple accounts, and this is strictly prohibited by online poker rooms because it is tantamount to cheating the other players as well as the site itself, especially since it does not advocate fair gaming. Furthermore, their investigations have revealed that the playing styles of the said players were like that of a bot, so they had valid reasons to confiscate the amount and terminate their accounts.
Rumor has it that Full Tilt is going to file their own complaints against the two players for libel and defamation as well as to counter sue other claims made by the claimants. It is also being said that the online poker site will not accept any settlement and that they are going to follow the case until it ends. Not only is the site going to prove its innocence, but they are also going to show other players who are thinking of the same that accusing Full Tilt with false charges will not be tolerated now or in the future.
However, when the representatives of Full Tilt were asked about the Racketeer-Influenced Corrupt Organization Act charges, they opted to keep mum, saying only that everything will be settled on court.
