PokerStars’ Asian Poker Tour Made Its Scheduled Stop in Auckland

PokerStars' Asian Pacific Poker Tour or the APPT is in Auckland right now as it makes it scheduled stop there.  The poker series started last October 14, 2009, and the festivities will end on October 18.  The said major poker tournament is being held in New Zealand's SkyCity Casino, and as expected, it has attracted hundreds to thousands of poker players from all over the world, including the big names in the poker world like Tony Hachem as well as Brian Huang.

The Highlights of the APPT

Of course, the major event of Asian Poker Tour is the Main Event which starts on October 14 and ends on October 18, the buy-in fee of which was set at $3,250.

There are other events though that are worth noting, one of which is an all-ladies event.  The buy-in fee for the said event is $220, and it will be held on Saturday, October 17.  You should also watch out for the high rollers event, which is going to be held on the same date as that of the all-ladies event.  Buy-in fee for the high rollers event is $10,000.

However, if you are strapped for cash but want to participate at the high rollers event, then you should participate on October 14's event, the Single Table to High Rollers Event, which calls for only $2,030 buy-in fee.  These satellite events will run from October 14 to October 16, Friday, and, as stated above, the high rollers event is scheduled on the 17th of October.

Getting Into the Tournament

There are various methods on how you could participate in this poker series.  For one, you could win a qualifier seat online when you play at the satellite tournaments of PokerStars, which awards APPT prize packages.  Included in the said package are the buy-in fee, your hotel accommodation, and some cash for your expenses while in the city.

Two, you could also try paying for your buy-in fee directly at the site via wire transfer, but first, participants are encouraged to email them at registrations@pokerstars.net for compete instructions on how to register directly for the said tournament.
