PokerStars’ Very Own Poker Show to Air on Fox

In an answer to Full Tilt 's Face the Ace, a series by the said site in cooperation with NBC, has made known to the public that it is going to show its own series, which will be shown on Fox.  This is a show they call Million Dollar Challenge.

A Quick View on ' Million Dollar Challenge

The plot of the series is simple enough where qualifiers to the series get to receive coaching lessons from Daniel Negreanu as the qualifier battles it out with some of the top players of Team , some of which are Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer.  Those who have qualified to get into the final event will attempt to beat his coach, Negreanu himself, the only pro player who is going to stand between the qualifier and the million dollars.

This show is said to air this coming October 11, 2009 on Fox with a tentative timeslot of 4 p.m., but this schedule is still very much tentative because of Fox's coverage of the regional NFL, which will begin airing on the end of September.

Qualifying for the ' Million Dollars Challenge

It is easy enough to get into the Million Dollars Challenge.

PokerStars’ Million Dollar ChallengeSince holds two freerolls each day, those who got into the top ten positions in any of the two freerolls get a chance to be included in the show.  They only need to submit a video of themselves, telling the management of the said show his reasons why they should pick him.  The length of the video should only be two minutes.  Aside from these simple requirements, contestants wanting to join the said show should also bring two friends with them to provide them a sort of a support system.

Although has not yet released any concrete details regarding the show like the date of its debut or the contestants, there is great hopes that the show will do much better than Full Tilt 's Face the Ace, which started airing last August 1 on NBC.  It cannot be denied that the latter received a somewhat poor ratings, which was the reason why its timeslot was changed to an afternoon schedule from primetime after about two weeks on the air.

Let's just hope that pulls it off and make a huge success out of it, especially since their format is almost the same as that of Full Tilt 's Face the Ace.
