PokerStars and Bluff to Sponsor Kent Senter Benefit

PokerStars wishes to give something back to a man who has been playing in its poker rooms for years now.  On September 12, 2009, at exactly 20:00H EST, the Kent Senter Benefit Tournament is going to commence.  The profits of this benefit tournament are going to go to the Senter family to help them pay for Kent Senter's, the head of the family, rising medical bills.

A Brief Background on Kent Senter

Kent Senter, a good man with a loving wife and family, was diagnosed two years ago with terminal cancer, especially since the cancer cells have already spread all throughout his spine.  This disease will undoubtedly cut his life short, but this did not stop him from dreaming of getting into the WSOP's Main Event.  Senter considers it as one of his greatest achievements to be able to get into the Main Event of the World Series of Poker, and this year, he finally realized his dream.  He proudly made it to Day Two of the said event.

Now that the 2009 WSOP is finally over, PokerStars does not want people to just forget about Senter and what he and his family are going through and is going to face.  In fact, PokerStars is urging its players to give a little something to this man, and together with Bluff Magazinie, they are going to sponsor a benefit tournament to help the family of Kent Senter meet the rising costs of his medical bills.

The Tournament Details

The Kent Senter Benefit Tournament is going to be held on September 12 at 8:00 p.m. EST.  Players who wish to participate in the said event can register in PokerStars by clicking on the Tourney/Private Tab.  The benefit tourney asks for a $10 buy-in fee with an allowable $10 re-buys for the initial first hour of the event with a standard tournament speed.

These two major companies, PokerStars and Bluff Magazine, have created a lucrative prize package for those who wish to enter the tournament and be lucky enough to win.

The first placer gets to win seat into the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event, while the second placer earns himself a seat into a WSOP Academy, courtesy of Bluff Magazine.  The third through the sixth placers gets to receive a PokerStars tournament credit voucher worth $1,000, $500, $300, and $200 respectively.

As if these are not enough, all players who got into the final table will each get a full year's subscription of Bluff Magazine as well as Flight Magazine for free.  Again, this is courtesy of Bluff Magazine.
