Prahlad Friedman Bags the 2009 WPT Legends of Poker

August was a great month, indeed, for , , as he bags the 2009 Legends of tournament, which earned him a nice profit of $1,009,000.  In fact, not only has he won the prestigious title and that the much-coveted prize money, but he also defeated Kevin Schaffel, one of the November Niners of 2009 WSOP Main Event, heads up.

A Brief History of

Friedman, 30, hails from Los Angeles, California.  He is married to Dee Luong, also a .

He was thrust into the limelight when he earned his own WSOP bracelet in the year 2003 when he played at the $1,5000 pot limit holdem tournament.  Along with the bracelet, he also won a fat $363,165.  In year 2006, he again showed his prowess in the arena when he beat more than 8,700 players at the 2006 WSOP Main Event where he landed the 20th place and won a hefty sum of $494,797.

After the 2006 WSOP Main Event, he disappeared from the limelight, and then three years later, he showed the world that he has not lost his touch.  At the 2009 Main Event, he landed at the 64th place, and then he won the title champion at the Legends of tournament, which thrust him once more into the limelight.

Spirit Rock — The Online Legend

August was a great month, indeed, for professional poker player, Prahlad Friedman, as he bags the 2009 WPT Legends of Poker tournament, which earned him a nice profit of $1,009,000. In the online world, Friedman is also known as «Spirit Rock.»  He has already developed a formidable name in the online world for himself wherein some players even consider him as the best online player on earth.

Today, Friedman is recognized as the most recent millionaire created by the after he won a whopping $1,009,000 at its $25,500 buy-in World Championship.  At the event, he went heads up with 2009 WSOP November Niner Kevin Schaffel and ended up beating him with a 4 to 1 chip lead.  The battle between these two big names in the world lasted for about an hour.

's next stop for its circuit is in Slovakia, after which it goes to Cyprus.  As for the main event, the series will go back to the United States, and it will be held in Atlantic City's Borgata where you can expect the big names in the world to battle it out for the huge prize money.
