, CEO of CardPlayer, won the 2009 Championship after a heads-up play with Daniel .

These two big names in the world each took their turn getting rid of one opponent after another until they were left as the last two players competing for the major prize.  The game lasted about five hours, with having a 2:1 chip lead against Shulman, but in the end, Shulman pulled ahead of in what can be called as a very dramatic final two hands.

2009 World Series of Poker Europe Won by a Brit

The began last September 18 at the Empire Casino, London and, in fact, saw its biggest number of participants in its three-year history, having had 608 entrants.  The Main Event, which was to be a £1,000 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'Em, started last Monday, September 21, for a two-day event.
