September 3 Marks the Start of the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker

Yesterday, September 3, 2009, was officially the start of the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker, which is being held by PokerStars.  PokerStars is considered to be the biggest and the best online poker site in the Internet, and as such, you can expect popular names in the poker world vying for the chance to win at one of the world's biggest prize pools.

The 2009 World Championship of Online Poker

As stated above, PokerStars is going to host the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker, and there will be a total of 45 tournaments, the final table included.  The said event started yesterday, September 3, and will end on September 20.

The initial tournament asks that each contestant put up a $215 buy-in fee to be able to get a seat in the NL Hold'Em Six-Max Event.  The buy-in fee might be a bit heavy for some, but the huge $1.25 million dollars of guaranteed prize pool more than makes up for it.  As for the Main Event which will be on the 20th of September, the buy-in fee might be a whopping $5,200 to get a seat in the No Limit Texas Hold'Em Final Table, but you also get the chance to win your share of the huge guaranteed prizes pool of $10 million dollars!
