With spring just around the corner, live and casinos are waiting for the players that have been holed up at home to come out and play.  The players have had a belly full of the bad weather and being stuck playing in front of a computer are getting restless and ready to play in a live game.  The difference in a live game and one on a poker screen are like honey is to vinegar.  There is no comparison for players that like the feel of a real table and reading players that is part of poker in a live game.  The months have kept them stuck playing in the virtual world where there is no sound or smell or anything remotely like the game over a felt table.

Each year as the snow melts these computer come out to see if the real game of poker still exists in a real poker room or a real casino.  As they soon learn, the real game is alive and well.  The poker room managers have been waiting for to unleash their missing players that were captives of the computer world.  The ambience of real live poker cannot ever be captured on a computer, no matter how good the programmers are or how much they try to make the game on the screen realistic. They may not understand why these players seem so happy to be playing live again, but they do not care.  They are back like salmon on a spawning run.   The ambience of real live poker cannot ever be captured on a computer, no matter how good the programmers are or how much they try to make the game on the screen realistic.  The ability of the player to use all of their senses in this game they love, is a gift that computer players will not understand until they have played in live games.  The difference is not only visual, but also visceral in the effect it has on players.  that have played thousands of hands are almost terror struck when they face their first live game tournament.   Only when they settle down and realize that they can play live just as well and the cards are the same do they relax.  The only part that seems to catch them up a little is being able to bet out of turn or handling the chips.  Both of these are automatically controlled in a computer game.  In a live game the player has to do the computer's job.  Wonder which game they will like the best after playing live?
