WSOP Enters a Deal with 888 to Go Online

It seems that Harrah's Entertainment, considered as one of the world's largest casino operator as well as the owner of the World Series of Poker, is on its way to going online. It has recently made a deal with 888, its B2B Division called the Dragonfish to be exact. Harrah's Entertainment wants 888 to supply the software when they go online, so it will not be long when we are going to feel and see the presence of the WSOP online as well the brands of the Caesars Casino.
A Huge Step Forward
When asked in an interview, Seth Palansky, the Communications Director of the World Series of Poker, commented that they want to see the WSOP make its presence known in the online gaming space, and they have made a partnership with 888 in the creation and development of their software platform. Mitch Garber, the CEO of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment, also pointed out the reasons why they chose 888. According to him, they trust 888 because it utilizes state-of-the art technology to create software. He also went on to add that 888's having a strong dedication to responsible gaming made it a very easy choice.
Aside from bringing WSOP online, it also looks like the Caesars Casino brands will make its online debut soon. The Dragonfish Division of 888 is going to be the one that will provide the ePayment method as well as enhance and develop the VIP and Customers Services of both the WSOP and the Caesars Casino.
888 Benefiting from the Partnership
With the imminent online presence that WSOP and Caesars Casino is going to have, they are sure to have more exposure and increased revenues. And with this, 888 is obviously going to benefit as well.
Gigi Levy, the Chief Executive of 888, said when interviewed by Reuters that the partnership is going to be a big break for them, especially if the US market opens its doors for online gaming. He also said that this partnership with such big names as the WSOP and the Caesars Casino brands only shows that their B2B Division is one of the most trusted in industry. In fact, 888 has already experienced an increase in its share price after the announcement was made public, and if truth be told, more big American deals are coming their Dragonfish Division's way.
The full financial details were not made known to the public, but both Harrah's Entertainment and 888 are going to have millions of dollars' worth of increased revenues come the year 2010, a very positive outlook, indeed.
